                                                                                               Maria Lineva is a young singer, composer, arranger and producer                                                                                                    originally from Moscow, Russia. She started her music career as                                                                                                      part of a very well-known children choir “Vesna” (“Spring”) at the                                                                                                    age of 6. The choir was a winner of variety international awards,                                                                                                      one of them is Europe Grand Prix for Choral Singing in 2000.
 

                                                                                               Maria had a very broad classical music education. From the age of                                                                                                  7, she began to play the piano and took other music theory classes.                                                                                                After a couple of years, she started showing outstanding vocal                                                                                                          talent. At the age of 13, she was performing at the Russian Big                                                                                                          Theatre as a soloist in the Mozart opera, “The Magic Flute”. At the                                                                                                  age of 15, she sang as a soloist at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.                                                                                                        Her music taste was formed by the great classical composers, such                                                                                                  as Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Chesnokov, Bartok                                                                                                and many others.

                                                                                               In 2010, Maria was accepted to Russian Academy of Music, where                                                                                                    she decided to broaden her horizons and focus on contemporary                                                                                                    jazz singing. From that period of time, she developed herself as an independent artist with a unique musical experience in jazz through the classical prism of thinking. While studying at Russian Academy of Music, she started writing her first compositions, which were combination of classical and contemporary music traditions. She was touring with her band and playing at festivals throughout Russia. In 2015, she graduated from Russian Academy of Music with a grade honor in Bachelor of Music. The same year, she was accepted to one of the prestigious contemporary institutions - Berklee College of Music, where they gave her a special Composition Scholarship for one of her pieces.

 

In 2018, Maria graduated from Berklee majoring in Contemporary Witting and Production. She is currently composing, arranging and producing music in different genres from classical to pop.  Her main focus is composing for Advertising and other new media platforms. She loves all kinds of post-production jobs, especially when it includes visualization. Maria keeps performing her original music inside and outside the college. She is also in the process of writing her first album. Maria worked at Berklee Concert Operation as part of the Stage Crew Production team. For almost 3 years, she did live sound and light engineering for more than 200 shows at variety of Berklee venues.
